RULE 1 - ELIGIBILITY - All female adult
members of the York-Adams USBC Association are
eligible to enter. (Must be a member of York-Adams
USBC) Non-members living within the jurisdiction of
the Association who are not members of another
Association may enter by paying a USBC affiliate
membership fee of $15.00. Non-Members of the
York-Adams USBC who are members of another
jurisdiction may enter by paying $5.00 local
membership fee. All unmarried grade and high school
students under 18 years old must comply with USBC
rule 13.
RULE 2 - AVERAGES - Entrants must use
their highest 2009-2010 USBC certified season
average, 21 or more games. Each bowler is
responsible for the accuracy of her or her average.
Failure to use the proper average shall disqualify
score if submitted average is lower than actual
average. Prize winnings shall be based on the
submitted average if it is higher than the actual
average. (USBC Rule 319a)
a. If no 2009-2010 season
average, use highest certified USBC average, 21 or
more games as of the time of bowling. Please submit
proper verification, individual record sheet, or
letter signed by league secretary.
b. Summer league
averages, 21 or more games, are permitted, provided
bowler has no 2009-2010-season average or 21 or more
games as of the time of bowling.
c. All others bowl
scratch.
If at the time of
bowling in the first event in the Tournament, a
bowler has a certified current average (21 or more
games) which is ten or more pins higher than their
entering average, current average must be used.
Bowlers, who fail to report and use current average
before the completion of the first game of bowling,
shall be disqualified, as well as their partner and
their team; and entry fees and prize winnings shall
be forfeited. All entrants are cautioned to be aware
of the re-rating requirements as detailed in USBC
rule 319c and average adjustment requirements of
USBC Rule 319e.
RULE
3 - SUBSTITUTES - A substitute
will be permitted for the individual entry after
opening of the Tournament, if supported by proper
affidavit, and at the discretion of the Tournament
Committee. The Tournament Committee has the supreme
power as to substitutes that are submitted by the
captain or her legalized representative and, if
accepted, each substitute shall bowl under her full
name. A substitute who’s name and average is not
shown on the entry form, and who can meet
eligibility requirements, shall use average in the
same order as listed in Tournament Rule 2. No
substitution will be accepted for all events prize
participation when any one event or portion of an
event, has been bowled by either the original
entrant or substitute. (USBC Rule 324)
RULE
4 - HANDICAP - All entrants
will be handicapped by 100% of the difference
between their entering average and 220. Handicap for
team and doubles events shall be the combined total
of individual handicaps.
RULE 5 - PRIZE LIST - All prize money will be returned 100% in cash and awards. At least one prize will be paid for each ten entries in team, singles, doubles and all events. (USBC Rules 309) Standings and Final Prize List are based on total score for each event with handicap included only. Chevrons will be awarded to winners in each event. USBC Rule 310 does not apply.
RULE
6 - BOWLERS RESPONSIBILITY -
Each individual whose name appears on the entry form
shall be solely responsible for the accuracy of all
information on the entry form. Any information,
which is submitted incorrectly, may result in
disqualification of the entire entry and forfeiture
of all prize, bowling and expenses fees.

RULE
7 - MULTIPLE PARTICIPATION -
(USBC 317) MULTIPLE PARTICIPATION IN EACH EVENT IS
PERMITTED, WITH THE RESTRICTIONS LISTED BELOW.
ENTRANTS MAY ALSO CHOOSE TO BOWL JUST TEAM, JUST
DOUBLES OR JUST SINGLES.

TEAM
EVENT - No more than two players
can place more than once in the prize list for
position standings.
·
DOUBLES
EVENT - In no case shall the same
two players on a doubles team be permitted to place
more than once in the prize list for position
standings.
·
SINGLES
EVENT - In no case shall the same
individual be permitted to place more than once in
the prize list for position standings.
·
ALL
EVENTS - Bowlers may enter
all-events only once. The bowlers first appearance
in each event shall count toward the all events
total. Participation in All Events is OPTIONAL, and
consists of Team; Doubles and Singles events
combined scores. An individual must pay an entry fee
of $5.00 to participate. All events entry will be
returned 100% in prizes and only those entered shall
be eligible to receive cash prizes.
RULE
8 - GENERAL RULES –
·
In the event of ties for
first place in any event, there will be no roll off.
Co-champions will be declared and duplicate awards
and chevrons shall be awarded. Prize monies for tie
positions shall be equally divided among
co-champions. If there are ties for any other
positions, qualified winners shall equally divide
the prize monies for which they are tied.

BOWLERS MUST SIGN SCORE SHEET
VERIFYING SCORES. ERRORS MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 48
HOURS AFTER CLOSE OF TOURNAMENT. USBC RULE
319d DOES NOT APPLY, REPORTING PRIOR PRIZE WINNINGS.

Lane assignment is at the
discretion of the Tournament management. All teams
and individuals must bowl on assigned lanes or
forfeit entry fees. No entry money will be refunded
after entries close and prize list is completed.
·
Bowlers competing within the
tournament may not participate in any other type of
bowling during the competition. Example:
Participating in their own league, another
tournament or open play.
·
All team captains or
individuals (minor events) must check-in at least 30
minutes prior to squad starting time.
·
All entrants are subject to
approval by the Tournament committee.
·
Remit Total Entry Fees,
payable to the York-Adams USBC. No entries
accepted without full entry fees. Payment by
Personal check, Certified Checks, Cashier’s
Checks or Money Orders Only.
